Cadillac // 120 Years
In 1902, Cadillac was established. In 2022, we celebrated 120 years of automotive advancement, engineering evolution, and Cadillac’s legacy in culture. Specifically in music. Who would have thought that Cadillac would be name-dropped in over 11,500 songs by iconic artists like: AC/DC, Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Bruno Mars, Drake, Johnny Cash, The Clash, Elvis, J.Lo, Rihanna, Pharrell, Run-D.M.C., The Velvet Underground, and many, many, more. To celebrate, we created the Cadillac of Mixtapes without having to pay usage for a single song. After all, we’d never asked any artist to pay for usage of our brand name. Through posters, projections, billboards, wraps, we pointed people to our Spotify playlists and took over targeted areas in NYC, LA, ATL, Vegas and of course Detroit, the city that gave us Motown and Cadillac. It wasn’t hard for people to realize that for 120 years, Cadillac has established that they were ICONIC THEN and are still ICONIC NOW.
